Senior Loan Servicing Specialist

Compensation: $56,160 – $64,400 annually Position Overview The ideal candidate will have strong experience across loan operations, servicing, and financial/accounting components, and be comfortable handling complex loan structures from boarding through servicing. - Department size: 10 team members Responsibilities Board loans to the core system, ensuring accuracy of loan data, terms, and structures Review executed loan documentation to confirm completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to funding Verify funding conditions and process disbursements, including advances, payoffs, and wire transactions Handle ongoing loan servicing activities, including: Payments, escrow maintenance, modifications, and payoffs Process loan draws, rollovers, and general loan account activity Set up complex loan structures, including: Escrows, interest reserves, participations, and fee structures Validate loan details such as rates, maturity dates, and payment schedules Perform callback verification in accordance with internal controls Support complex loan scenarios (e.g., participations, syndications, SBA, and investor programs) Maintain and update loan data in core banking systems (Fiserv, FIS Horizon preferred) Perform reconciliation support, including GL balancing and data consistency checks Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and system-related issuesRespond to internal and client inquiries related to loan servicing Support audits and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (including UDAAP) Assist with workflow improvements, system updates, and process enhancements Cross-train in servicing functions to support team coverage Required Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience in loan operations, boarding, or funding within a financial institution Experience working across consumer, commercial, and/or mortgage loan products Strong understanding of loan lifecycle processes, including boarding, funding, and servicing Experience with complex loan structures (e.g., participations, syndications, SBA programs) Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements (including GAAP/FASB91) Proficiency with core banking systems and Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial calculations on complex loan structures Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
