Senior Fund Accountant | Alternative Investments | NYC
\n \nWe’re partnering with a growing alternative investment manager looking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to its New York finance team. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking for broader exposure, increased ownership, and a long-term path toward Manager and Controller-level responsibilities.
\n \nResponsibilities:
\n• Manage key aspects of the monthly and quarterly fund accounting close
\n• Review NAVs, capital accounts, allocations, and reconciliations
\n• Prepare and review management fees, carried interest, and distributions
\n• Oversee and coordinate with third-party fund administrators
\n• Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation
\n• Coordinate with external auditors, tax providers, and other service partners
\n• Assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting
\n• Gain exposure to valuations and underlying investment activity
\n• Participate in process improvements and other finance initiatives as the platform grows
\n \nWhat They’re Looking For:
\n• 3–6+ years of fund accounting or relevant investment management experience
\n• Background within an alternative investment manager, fund administrator, or public accounting firm
\n• Experience with private equity, private credit, real estate, or other alternative investment products preferred
\n• Strong understanding of NAVs, capital activity, allocations, and financial reporting
\n• Someone looking to take on more ownership and continue progressing within fund finance
