Transplant Hepatology – Clinical Faculty Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Transplant Hepatologist in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, Section of Hepatology. The selected individual will join a section of eight clinical faculty to cover outpatient and inpatient needs for the Transplant Service Line, while collaborating closely with Dr. Steven Flamm, Clinical Director of Network Development and Outreach for the Transplant Service Line and Director of Research in the Section of Hepatology, at the Rush downtown campus and the seven liver transplant outreach sites where you will assist in building strong referring relationships for the Rush Solid Organ Transplant program. Qualifications Board certified/eligible in both transplant hepatology and gastroenterology Eligible for faculty appointment at the assistant professor level or above Strong commitment to patient care, resident education, and research Experience in clinical hepatology and liver transplantation Strong interest and successful track record in establishing referring provider relationships for liver transplant Proven expertise in growth strategies for Liver Transplant programs Interest or experience in alcohol use disease order is a plus Rush was one of the first ten liver transplant centers in the United States, starting in the 1980s. Today, the program consists of a large multidisciplinary team which works closely together to maintain exceptional patient care and excellent quality outcomes. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full‑time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign‑on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
