Utilize technology to streamline property management tasks.Job DescriptionProperty Manager OverviewThe Property Manager oversees daily operations of retail/commercial properties in the Metro New York area.Ensure tenant satisfaction by addressing maintenance requests and operational issues promptly and professionally.Coordinate repairs and maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and landscaping services.Maintain compliance with local regulations and safety standards for all properties.Utilize property management systems and technology to optimize operations and cost efficiency.Provide leadership and proactive follow-up to ensure tasks are completed effectively.Collaborate with tenants during move-ins, move-outs, and improvement projects.Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality service delivery.Offer a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, 401K contributions, and health insurance options.Property Manager Key Responsibilities & DutiesConduct regular inspections of properties to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.Address tenant concerns and emergencies, ensuring timely resolutions.Supervise and coordinate routine and emergency repairs across properties.Monitor rent payments and enforce lease compliance effectively.Maintain organized records of contracts, insurance certificates, and inspection reports.Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations and municipal requirements.Leverage technology to streamline property management operations.Manage vendor contracts and ensure quality service delivery.Support tenant improvement projects and operational transitions.Property Manager Job RequirementsAssociate of Arts (AA) degree required; additional certifications preferred.Minimum of 4 years of experience in property management; 5 years preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software systems.Strong communication and tenant relations skills are essential.Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and vendor management.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple operational issues effectively.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively.Experience managing retail and mixed-use commercial properties is preferred.Familiarity with lease administration and rent collection processes.
