Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards of care.
• Monitor telemetry data and patient status, recognizing changes and implementing appropriate interventions.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including potential specialty IV drips, and document responses.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff while coordinating care with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other disciplines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Be prepared to manage post-critical cardiac needs with observation, and respond to emergent changes in patient condition as needed.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) or eligibility to practice as an RN in the assignment state.
• Telemetry/step-down cardiac care experience preferred.
• Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity telemetry environment.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a setting with potential ventilator support and specialty IV therapies.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and adherence to nursing standards of care.
