About This Role
We need a passionate 4K First Steps Teacher in Irmo, SC to lead a high-quality, play-based educational classroom. You will prepare four-year-old children for kindergarten success through engaging instruction aligned with South Carolina First Steps standards.
What You'll Do- Implement the approved First Steps 4K curriculum and design weekly lesson plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Communicate daily and weekly with families regarding child progress.
- Track student growth and maintain proper supervision and ratios.
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (or an Associate's Degree with active enrollment toward a Bachelor's Degree).
- Passion for working with young children and ability to pass background checks.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs for child safety and classroom emergencies.
CPR and First Aid certification.
- Prior experience in a licensed South Carolina childcare or 4K program.
