If you're ready to make a meaningful impact while guiding and supporting a team of nursing professionals, we encourage you to apply.QualificationsMust be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) currently licensed in the State of employmentGenuine interest in geriatric nursing and long-term careAbility to make sound judgments and decisionsPhysically fit, mentally and emotionally stableFamiliarity with facility policies and proceduresStrong communication and interpersonal skillsKey ResponsibilitiesPromote census growth and understand its impact on facility successMake rounds and confer with nursing staff to monitor resident careReport on changes in resident conditions to the Administrative OfficeCollaborate with department heads and consultants (e.g., dietary, pharmacy, therapy)Supervise nursing personnel across all shiftsAssist with in-service education, staff meetings, and orientationReview and update nursing care plansFollow directives from the Director of Nursing (DON) and provide written reports during their absenceConduct monthly surveys on resident care status and compile reportsAddress nursing-related issues in the absence of the DONFollow up on recommendations from the consulting pharmacistProvide floor coverage during staffing shortagesPraise and discipline staff as needed; assist with performance evaluations and appraisalsIssue warning notices for performance deficienciesIdentify educational needs and coordinate in-service trainingOversee Utilization Review activities in accordance with Medicare and Medicaid guidelinesReview and update resident levels of care dailyEducate staff on documentation requirements for skilled careVerify certifications for new admissionsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periodsLift and transfer residents as needed (with assistance when necessary)Manual dexterity for handling medical equipment and documentationMust be able to respond effectively to emergencies and manage stressful situations professionallyApply today and become a valued leader in a team that puts compassionate care and resident well-being at the heart of everything we do.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
