Hilton Garden Inn Irvine Spectrum/Lake Forest is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in preparing high-quality food while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Schedule
• Part-Time
• PM Shift
• Saturdays and Sundays
• Additional shifts may be available based on business needs

Position Summary
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in accordance with Hilton Garden Inn brand standards, recipes, and food safety guidelines. This role ensures consistent food quality, proper presentation, and timely service while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and brand specifications.
• Ensure food quality, taste, temperature, and presentation meet brand standards.
• Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Assist with dinner service, banquets, and special events as assigned.
• Set up and break down kitchen stations before and after service.
• Monitor food inventory, rotate stock using FIFO standards, and minimize waste.
• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Comply with all company policies, health department regulations, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support hotel operations.

Qualifications
• Previous restaurant, hotel, or food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices.
• Current Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
