You will collaborate closely with leadership and across departments to maintain safety, compliance, and a strong team culture.Responsibilities include:Supervise and support program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and professional developmentOrient and train new staff on residence-specific technology, systems, required documentation, and client supportCreate schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and staffing levels for each shift in alignment with applicable regulations and policiesFacilitate and oversee the medication self-administration process and ensure compliance with protocols required by the assigned residence, as applicableEnsure that client medications are available and properly disposed of at the time of discharge in accordance with assigned residence protocols; ensure staff are well trained in this process, for programs without required nursing oversightManage medical, behavioral, emergency, or outside problems quickly and efficiently, maintaining a safe environment and notifying the appropriate authority or management staff as neededIdentify and report incidents and potential risk situations promptly, ensuring timely and accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory requirementsEnsure adherence to safety, health, licensing, and regulatory standards in the residenceEnsure required documentation, policies, and standards of work are followed within the scope of organizational protocolsProvide direct care as needed to meet contractual and licensing regulatory requirementsOrient clients to the residence and review program rules and regulationsProvide on-call support and respond to crises to ensure continuity and quality of services; may be required to address urgent issues after hoursCollaborate with leadership to develop and monitor census forecasts, staffing patterns, and general program concernsCollaborate with other departments as needed to coordinate services and resourcesConduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development for staffAttend on-site and off-site meetings and training as requiredParticipate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge essential to the performance of dutiesWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's degree preferred, with at least two years of leadership experience, ideally in a recovery or related residential program; an equivalent combination and experience may be considered.Valid Driver's License with the ability to drive an agency vehicleCPR Certification required within 6 months of employmentStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to supervise and develop staff, including recovery technicians, case managers, and recovery coachesCommitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD's values of diversity, equity, and inclusionAbility to work both independently and collaboratively, and to respond effectively to changing priorities and after-hours situationsWhy SCADD?Since 1966, SCADD has remained at the forefront of substance use disorder treatment, continuously evolving to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities across Southeastern Connecticut.
