Associate Director, Commercial AI and Advanced Analytics

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director to design and operationalize advanced marketing mix modeling, causal analytics, and optimization capabilities that drive commercial decision-making across brands. This hands-on role combines technical modeling expertise with stakeholder partnership to deliver actionable insights for strategy, budget allocation, and omnichannel performance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development and execution of Marketing Mix and Key Driver Analyses for brand planning and ROI optimization
• Design and operate advanced MMx models using Bayesian and distributed lag approaches across multiple channels
• Build scalable, auditable MMx pipelines aligned with enterprise standards and automated platforms
• Operationalize causal and driver-based models into always-on analytics with continuous decision support and monitoring
• Partner with stakeholders to translate modeling outputs into clear business recommendations for strategy and investment allocation

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related quantitative field
• Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical commercial analytics with direct Marketing Mix Modeling and causal analysis ownership
• Hands-on expertise in Bayesian hierarchical modeling, adstock, lag, saturation, and non-linear optimization
• Strong background in causal inference: geo-experiments, synthetic control, uplift modeling methods
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical modeling, feature engineering, and automation
• Solid SQL skills and experience with large multi-source pharma datasets and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with MLOps, version control, and model lifecycle management practices
