Teams operate globally, owning systems end-to-end with strong focus on innovation and engineering excellenceWhat you’ll do in the role:Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.Working across SAP ASE, SAP IQ, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environmentsDesigning and optimizing schemas, queries, and database structuresPerforming deep performance analysis and root cause troubleshootingBuilding and maintaining automation using Python, Perl, and ShellSupporting real-time and batch data pipelines, ETL, and replicationEnhancing monitoring, data capture, and operational toolingWhat you’ll bring to the role:Strong SQLExperience with mission-critical real-time systemsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to manage tasks and deliverables effectively4+ years of related experienceDesired Skills:Strong SAP ASE and/or SAP IQStrong Python, Perl, and Shell scriptingStrong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting skillsExperience with database performance tuningWorking knowledge of Fixed Income products or trading systemsExposure to AI/ML tools for performance analysisWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
