Head of Platform Engineering — High-Frequency Trading
New York, NY A New York HFT that has been consistently profitable for over a decade and doubled its PnL last year. Small, well-capitalised and deliberately low-profile, they're looking for one person to own their engineering function end to end. This is a rare ownership seat. You'll set the technical direction, modernise the stack, grow & lead the team, and stay hands-on in the cod e. WHAT YOU'LL DO Own the architecture and technical direction of the trading systems Modernise and evolve an established low-latency C++ codebase Lead and mentor the engineering team Stay hands-on — design and write production code, not just manage Work directly with traders and the founder on firm priorities WHAT YOU'LL BRING A strong engineering background from another HFT or top-tier trading firm Deep, hands-on expertise in low-latency systems (C++) A track record of owning systems end to end, ideally somewhere you've seen the whole picture rather than one narrow lane The judgement to lead and set direction while staying technical Based in, or willing to relocate to, New York #J-18808-LjbffrVacancy posted 3 days ago
