Mechanical Technician Parts Cleanup

Hire Up Staffing is seeking Mechanical Technicians for a short-term industrial project focused on the cleaning, disassembly, inspection, and preparation of mechanical parts and components. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with experience in maintenance, machine shops, automotive repair, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

Position Details

• Pay: $18/hour
• Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:30 AM4:00 PM or 7:00 AM3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Clean and pressure wash metal plates, parts, and mechanical components.
• Remove rubber gaskets, seals, and other materials from parts.
• Use basic hand tools to assist with disassembly and parts preparation.
• Inspect components for visible wear, damage, or defects during the cleaning process.
• Clean and prepare parts for repair, reassembly, or further processing.
• Properly organize, label, and stage cleaned components.
• Follow established procedures for handling mechanical parts and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a mechanical, maintenance, automotive, machine shop, manufacturing, or industrial technician role preferred.
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools and equipment.
• Ability to identify basic mechanical components and follow instructions for disassembly and cleaning.
• Comfortable performing physical, hands-on work throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail when cleaning, inspecting, and organizing parts.
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screen and background check.
