Radiologic Technologist

Overview Henry Ford-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (RT) to provide X‑ray services, support medical staff, and maintain quality and safety standards. The RT works in a collaborative environment to deliver efficient patient care across all age groups. Position patients correctly and ensure protection during use. Push patient in a wheelchair when required. Patient Preparation and Rooming Inform technical staff of patient flow. Prepare patients for examination by conducting interviews, verifying information, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. Conduct vital sign checks and elevate critical cases to provider. Perform point‑of‑care tests as needed and give information to provider. Administrative Maintain medical records and scan charts into patient files. Conduct courtesy call‑backs for patient follow‑up. Perform daily equipment controls, calibration, QA/QC logs, preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed. Other Responsibilities Medical Team Support: Collaborate with ordering/treating provider to determine optimal procedures or views and support clinic operations. Patient Care: Explain procedures, ensure comfort and safety, and answer questions. Patient Positioning: Accurately position patients and equipment for optimal imaging. Image Production: Select proper ionizing factors and adjust radiographic controls for clear, high‑quality diagnostic images. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and manage supplies. Radiation Safety: Follow safety protocols, implement ALARA to minimize exposure. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and log procedures in electronic systems. Image Management: Verify image quality and ensure images are sent to radiologists for interpretation. Job Requirements Education High School Diploma required ARRT certification required Work Experience Experience in a clinical setting preferred Required Licenses/Certifications BLS required at time of hire (through ARC or AHA) ARRT registration required at time of hire Knowledge Knowledge of X‑ray procedures and protocols. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary for X‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement. Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards. Skills Position patients correctly for X‑ray procedures. Identify equipment problems and notify supervisor. Follow infection control and radiographic safety procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
