These films shall be produced using ALARA techniques. The Radiologic Technologist will interact in a safe confidential and professional environment with a wide range of patient ages, cultures and physical states.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**Performs Diagnostic Radiographic examination following department protocol and utilizing technical factors to ensure the highest quality result in:* Head and Neck Studies* Chest Studies* Spine and Pelvis* Upper Extremity* Lower Extremity* Abdomen* Strong ability to effectively use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and electronic image archiving software. Follows Radiation safety procedures on all exams, keeping them ALARA.* Appropriately utilizes shields to reduce exposure to the patient* Sets technical factors to reduce patient exposure and produce high-quality films* Use universal precautions as necessary.* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate with all of the age groups we serve.* Prepares patients for the exam by explaining the exam procedure in a kind, respectful manner. An interpreter will be utilized as needed.* Carries out exams in a professional, confidential, and safe manner.* Demonstrates the ability to recognize age-related pathology and physical presentation when performing exams and choosing technical factors.**Qualifications & Requirements:*** High School/GED Required* Graduate of the AMA Approved Radiologic Technology Training Program.* An Associate's Degree is strongly desired.* ARRT Certified.* Licensed by the state of Massachusetts in Radiography.* CPR Certified and able to maintain on an annual basis.* 1 – 3 years of experience in a high-volume environment performing diagnostic radiographic examination.* Good working knowledge in the field of Radiology.* Ability to assimilate changes in technical Radiographic settings.**Hourly Rate:**-Starting at $50.00 per hour and up to $65.00 based on years of relevant experience.**EEO & Accommodation Statement:**NeighborHealth is an equal employment/affirmative action employer.
