Join an established Savannah restaurant as Chef De Cuisine with a clear path to the Executive Chef role.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced culinary leader who is ready to take the next step in their career while enjoying an excellent quality of life. This is a 5-day work week, dinner-only operation, and the restaurant is closed every Sunday and Monday.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards for food quality and consistency
• Work closely with the Executive Chef during the transition period
• Prepare for the future Executive Chef role by learning all aspects of the operation
• Train, coach, and develop culinary team members
• Oversee kitchen organization, prep, and service execution
• Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
• Build a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork and accountability

Requirements

• 3+ years of Chef De Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef experience
• Upscale-casual or fine dining restaurant experience
• Proven experience leading culinary teams
• Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations
• Strong understanding of food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Stable work history with demonstrated career progression

• Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead and develop a culinary team
• Comfortable taking ownership of kitchen operations
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials and operational controls
• Ability to work closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant leadership
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Desire to take on an Executive Chef role and grow with the organization

• $75,000–$80,000 Base Salary
