Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities
  • Conduct various ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout procedures by providing clear and compassionate guidance at every step
  • Engage collaboratively with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of superior diagnostic images
  • Maintain and operate imaging equipment effectively, promptly reporting any operational issues
  • Keep precise documentation of procedures and patient records in the electronic medical record system
  • Continuously update knowledge on the latest ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a comparable field
  • Preference given to those who have completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
  • Current certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
  • Proficient in technical aspects of sonographic imaging and patient positioning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
