RF Systems Engineer Level 2 - Clearance Required

The Work As a Systems Engineer you will: apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases (Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement), interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts, communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives, and be responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288. Technical Process Area – Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal Project Process Area – Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement Enterprise (Organizational Project‑Enabling) Process Area – Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management (U) Agreement Process Area – Acquisition and Supply Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of a work product in Technical Process Areas associated with the ISO/IEC 15288 Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations Assist in performing systems engineering activities in the ISO/IEC 15288 Agreement or Enterprise Process Areas Perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of multiple work products in Project and/or Technical Process Areas associated with any of the ISO/IEC 15288 processes Basic Qualifications Must have current TS/SCI with Poly A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience A High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of systems engineering experience A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three (3) years of systems engineering experience Experience with coding Python and Visual Basic for applications Strong experience in applying RF theoretical and academic knowledge in EMI testing unintended emissions within HF, VHF, and UHF spectrum Familiar with RF tools (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and components (amplifiers, filters, isolators, attenuators, terminators, etc) Formulating and documenting test plans Draft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reports Specify and/or review system and component technical performance requirements to ensure optimal functionality while meeting E3 noise electric field limit Collaborate internal and external agency stakeholders to ensure technical support enables the E3 Program and customer mission requirements Must be able to travel 3 times per year for 7‑10 days at a time Desired Skills Preferred but not required to have experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing, electromagnetic interference mitigation, and/or antenna calibration Clearance Level TS/SCI w/Poly SP Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
