Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience, 1+ year of travel experience License: Minnesota nursing license (temporary license accepted if applied for permanent) Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: - Able to insert IVs - Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations - EPIC experience - Work history - Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty - 2 supervisory references with dates employed listed Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone or text where applicable. Decisions are typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants with negative background or employment history are not eligible for the same processing timeline. The Registered Staff Nurse provides holistic care to customers and families. The focus is on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as described in standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area. The scope of practice may include the care of individuals throughout the life cycle. The RN executes the Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN develops and revises the customer's plan of care and coordinates care among disciplines. The RN delegates activities to other customer care providers as appropriate. The RN participates in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices. Through active participation in practice, the RN defines, implements, and improves practice standards and the environment of care. The RN promotes remarkable customer care. Variation of duties may occur based on the assigned customer care units. This may include differences in the specific clinical skills required of the RN.
