Serious Violent Felony Case Manager

The Serious Violent Felony Case Manager is responsible for providing case management, administrative, and program support for the Serious Violent Felony Unit. This position assists attorneys and staff in managing criminal cases by coordinating information, maintaining case records, monitoring case progress, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. The Case Manager works collaboratively to help ensure the efficient processing of cases while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor assigned cases through the prosecution process.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and related documentation.
• Coordinate communication with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, victims, witnesses, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Track case activity, deadlines, court dates, and other important milestones.
• Gather, organize, and maintain case-related records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with trial preparation and other court-related activities.
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents as requested.
• Enter and maintain information in office databases and case management systems.
• Ensure confidential information is handled in accordance with applicable laws and office policies.
• Assist with special projects, program initiatives, and administrative assignments.
• Provide general support to the Serious Violent Felony Unit and other divisions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Training and Experience

Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered. Experience in an administrative, legal, criminal justice, or related field preferred. Valid driver's license.
