Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate and understand the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that consider developmental stages, family dynamics, and cultural backgrounds.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for various conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in supporting their children’s mental health.
\n
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and families about mental health, treatment alternatives, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance therapeutic skills.

• Keep abreast of current research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to inform clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. As a therapist in our clinic, you will play a vital role in shaping the emotional wellbeing of young individuals by applying evidence-based practices and ensuring a supportive environment where they can thrive with the guidance of their families.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach to therapy.

• Ability to establish trust and rapport with young clients and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems along with relevant computer applications.

• Capable of working collaboratively as part of a team while managing individual caseloads effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
