Registered Nurse – Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient in Amsterdam, New York. This travel assignment starts on 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks in a short-term acute care setting focused on inpatient psychiatric care for adolescents. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adolescents on an inpatient behavioral health unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and manage potential side effects
- Maintain patient safety through observation, de-escalation using CPI techniques, and adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform routine and focused assessments, monitor vital signs, and document in the electronic medical record; participate in rounds and handoffs
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; educate patients and families about treatment plans and safety planning

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
- Minimum 5 years of psychiatric nursing experience; at least 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Experience with adolescent inpatient behavioral health; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
- Willingness to travel and start on or before 07/20/2026; eligible to work in the United States
