This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to cover PRN OB Trauma shifts for our Level II Trauma center with the full resources of a robust health system network.

• PRN OB Trauma Call Coverage
• Practice setting: Inpatient - 24hr unattached trauma call (coming in for emergencies)
• Access to Support staff
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Sacred Heart Bay opened in 1949 and was acquired by Ascension in 2019 to further the Sacred Heart mission in the Panama City community: providing excellent health care to all people, with special attention to the poor and vulnerable.
• 200 bed Level II Trauma Center (Part of a robust clinical network with our sister facilities in Pensacola, Destin, and Port St. Joe, FL)

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Florida Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Board eligibility/certification in medical specialty required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
