Field Service Technician

Field Service TechnicianMorrison Industrial Equipment is looking for full-time Field Service Technicians to join our South Bend branch (2505 North Foundation Dr South Bend, IN 46628).Monday-Friday | First shift hours | 40 hours a week, with opportunity for overtime. Compensation starts at $23+/hour, negotiable based upon experience.Morrison Industrial Equipment has a strict drug-free policy and consideration for any position with the company would require a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana, as well as a physical exam and a background check.About the Job: A Field Service Technician travels locally to customers, using a company van, to complete needed repairs on a wide variety of material handling equipment with an emphasis on forklifts. This position would require a valid license in good standing.Qualifications:Have good customer relations skills with clear and concise language skillsEnjoy being part of a team, but can work independentlyUtilize technology such as a laptop or tabletHave a valid driver's license in good standingHave a strong mechanical aptitude and abilitiesAbility to lift 50 pounds due to lift and move functionsEssential Functions:Diagnose and repair equipment breakdownsCommunicate effectively any needed repairs with customersComplete work orders in a timely mannerCoordinate with parts and service department dailyKeep work van clean and stocked with necessary suppliesComply with all safety procedures within Morrison's guidelinesConsistently and reliably attend shift ready to work when scheduledPerform any other duties as assignedWe train people that have been working in the industry and who are new to it. Once hired, technicians will automatically be enrolled into our training program. The program and trainings are completely paid for and offer classroom training, hands-on/job shadow training, e-learning, and mentoring. No tools, no problem! Our "Tools for Technicians" program provides all the tools you need upon onboarding. It's an 18-month program and when completed the tools are property of the tech!
