Business Development Representative (BDR)
Compensation: $70,000 Base + 20% Commission
Location: Houston, TX 77003

Overview
We are partnering with a fast-growing industrial distribution organization to identify a high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) who thrives in a relationship-driven, performance-focused environment.

This is a high-impact role responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new customer relationships, and expanding existing accounts. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and is motivated by building trust, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service.

This is not a transactional sales role. It requires persistence, responsiveness, and a commitment to creating long-term value for customers.

Your Impact
In this role, you will directly influence revenue growth, customer acquisition, and account expansion. You will play a critical role in strengthening customer relationships while helping elevate the standard of service within the industrial distribution space.

Success in this position is defined not only by growth, but by the quality of relationships and trust you build with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach and networking
  • Build and maintain a strong, active pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, challenges, and timelines
  • Present tailored, value-driven solutions aligned to customer requirements
  • Manage and maintain accurate CRM activity, ensuring data integrity and visibility
  • Follow up consistently on quotes and opportunities to drive conversion
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of orders and customer satisfaction
  • Grow and retain existing accounts through ongoing relationship management and service

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management preferred
  • Experience in industrial distribution or related industries is a plus
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
