Certified Medical Assistant I, Full Time, Days, 8:30am-4:30pm, AMG Surgery and Oncology, Marlboro, NJ Marlboro, NJ, United States Job Description Responsible for providing general direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a physician. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure functionality of practice operations to provide excellent patient care. Ensures medical facilities run smoothly, and works in a clerical, administrative, or clinical capacity, and may even be asked to perform more specialized tasks. Principal Accountabilities Handles patient intake, updates medical records, and administers appropriate screening tools. Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision. Assists with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, ensures verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards. Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time. Performs vital sign measurements to establish baseline for future exams. Assists physicians in examinations and performs related clinical tasks. Collects and prepares laboratory samples by instructing patients or drawing blood. Maintains excellent communication, work ethic, active listening, adaptability in a fast‑paced environment, and upholds professionalism at all times. Greets patients and welcomes them to the facility. Schedules appointments for patients. Maintains medical records, records histories and vital signs in the computer system. Cleans patient rooms, sanitizing and reorganizing rooms between visits. Prepares exam rooms, ensuring equipment is ready, disinfected, and stocked. Provides emotional support as outlined in the patient’s care plan. Assists with referrals to specialists for diagnosis or treatment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. National Certification CCMA from NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT. OR precertification agreement signed if certificate expired or receiving certification within 60 days of employment. Associate’s degree in Medical Care or related field (preferred).

1. year of experience in Health Care services (preferred).
2. years experience in outpatient, ambulatory setting (preferred).

Excellent communication, work ethic, active listening, adaptability to fast‑paced environment, professionalism (preferred). BLS upon hire (preferred). EPIC or similar EMR system experience (preferred). Ability to work within computer systems.
