Find your next opportunity today!**Description of Work**Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for a Housekeeper to work on 1st Shift. Housekeepers perform a variety of duties while cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, common areas, lobby areas, offices, bathrooms, and other assigned areas both inside and outside the hospital building. This is accomplished by using the appropriate disinfectants and cleaners to enhance the overall appearance and sanitation of the hospital. They also operate various pieces of heavy cleaning equipment, perform medium to heavy physical work, and will need to follow written and verbal instructions. Much of the work is performed independently, but you will also be part of a team and must be willing to be a good team member. We expect that you will be pleasant, courteous, and thoughtful around patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cleaning ceilings, light fixtures, vents, and walls Dusting and polishing furniture Sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, and wet mopping Sanitizing hard surfaces Buffing and polishing floors and shampooing carpets Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including replenishing paper supplies and soap, as needed Emptying trash receptacles; and Performing other related duties as requested by the supervisor or management**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences****Recruitment Range: $31,200.00 - $48,810.00***Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.**The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:** Documented experience in cleaning on a large scale or industrial level* Previous experience in housekeeping is required***Management prefers candidates with the following:**** Experience working in a Psychiatric setting**Conditional Requirements:** *Selected applicants must be able to pass a State Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check, and complete and pass BLS/CPR training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training during orientation.***This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And *Must* Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.****We Will Be Recruiting For Multiple Positions With This Post. This position also rotates weekends.******About the Facility:**Broughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness.
