Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. Job Details Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Location: Omaha, Nebraska Schedule: 12‑hour shifts; shift times include 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., and 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. Minimum hours per week: 36 Responsibilities Hourly rounding and monitoring of patients with oncology and trauma diagnoses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide patient‑centered care. Manage ventilator and hemodynamic parameters (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV‑1000, ICP). Administer and titrate intravenous drips, including insulin and Cardizem. Maintain documentation using EPIC EMR. Qualifications Valid driver's license. ACLS and BLS certifications (mandatory). Minimum 2 years recent acute care RN experience. Oncology and MedSurg experience preferred. Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring. Experience using EPIC EMR within the last 6 months. Familiarity with support staff roles: nursing assistants, RN case managers, social workers, educators, dieticians. Float unit capability – same level of care units. Additional Information Orientation includes 2 days. RTO requests must be made upfront for 7 or fewer days per 13‑week contract. No minimum experience beyond the specified 2 years is required for this role. Candidates must have worked for a healthcare organization associated with Cross Country Nurses in any capacity.
