Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit at a healthcare facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves providing care to adult patients with complex conditions, including cardiac and stroke patients, in a high-flow environment. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. Job Details Location: Omaha, Nebraska Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with rotations to include weekends and holidays. Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license at submittal, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Step Down Units or similar acute care environments. Float: Float rotation may be required to Medical/Surgical units and all hospital areas, including Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department, depending on abilities. Additional Information: Candidates must comply with a 50-mile radius rule and cannot be full-time, part-time, or prn with any facility associated with the organization including CHI and Dignity Health. RTO must be requested and approved upfront, with a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract. The unit involves frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges, requiring teamwork and flexibility.
