Sourcing Manager

C.H. Robinson is looking for a strategic and results-driven Sourcing Manager to help shape and execute our vendor supply strategy. In this role, you will build and manage key vendor partnerships, develop supply plans that meet customer demand, and leverage market insights to drive growth and profitability. You will play a critical role in pricing, procurement, and supplier performance while identifying innovative solutions that strengthen our competitive position. Robinson.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:Oversees the day-to-day management of the domestic vendor supply plan of the category, to include communication, execution, quoting and contract proposals, service level management and reportingPromotes innovation within the category, differentiating our offering through packaging, varietals, supply chain efficiency, etc. to remain relevant and competitive in the marketplaceIn coordination with the category’s leadership, they are responsible for transactional, promotional, and contract pricing decisionsManage domestic vendor relationships through vendor review processes to continuously improve performance against category plansResponsible for actively managing a pipeline of new domestic vendors to meet our customers’ demand, identified in coordination with our commercial teamsConsistently and effectively educates internal teams about all aspects of the category’s transactional market, proactively managing supply fluctuations to avoid gaps and maximizing opportunities to drive volume salesWorks with category leaders to develop strong supply plans that include the right vendors and strategy to meet the requirements of the customer base and enable growth and profitability in the categoryOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsQUALIFICATIONSRequired:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 6 years of experience in fresh produce sourcing or sales across US geographiesAbility to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)Preferred:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universityBasic understanding of post-harvest and cold chain principles and technologiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programsStrong team player who thrives in a collaborative environmentExcellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and internal teamsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperienced in negotiation, pricing strategy, and building programsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisionsStrategic and innovative mindset, able to develop and drive sourcing initiatives from conception to implementationAbility to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, sometimes out of normal business hoursAttention to detail with high standards for work; a customer service mindsetValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentDisclaimer:This job description is intended to generally describe the nature and level of work to be performed by employees in this position.
