The Role As our Mentoring Family Law Attorney, you will serve as a leader within the firm and a key partner to ownership in shaping the future of the family law department. Responsibilities Provide legal guidance and oversight, ensuring quality and consistency across matters. Support strategic decision‑making on complex cases and maintain high standards of client service. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to associate attorneys. Train and support associate attorneys in litigation, courtroom, and client‑management skills. Handle a sophisticated family law caseload, including high‑conflict and complex matters. Collaborate on litigation strategy, support trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy. Improve systems and workflows, contribute to hiring, and partner with firm leadership on growth initiatives. Minimum 5 years of Washington family law experience. Significant litigation and courtroom experience. Experience handling contested family law matters. Strong legal writing and advocacy skills. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience. Preferred 10+ years of Washington family law experience. Prior Managing Attorney or Supervising Attorney experience. Trial experience in complex family law matters. Experience mentoring attorneys and legal staff. Existing referral relationships within the Spokane legal community. Compensation Base Salary: $150,000-$200,000 Compensation will be determined based on experience, leadership background, litigation experience, and overall qualifications.
