Accountant IV

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Accountant IV for a contract to hire position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 6+ month hybrid opportunity.

Compensation: Up to $52.02 per hour, W2 , based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role is accountable for delivering accurate and timely financial information through effective, Sarbanes-Oxley compliant finance processes. The ideal candidate will support a wide range of end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) accounting processes, handle complex financial transactions, and reconcile general ledger activity to ensure financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver useable, accurate, and timely financial information from transaction to financial close in accordance with local and consolidated GAAP
• Support a wide range of end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) accounting processes and general ledger events
• Process complex financial transactions, identify and analyze exceptions, and provide support for audits and ad hoc requests
• Prepare and/or post journal entries for complex general ledger accounts
• Reconcile general ledger activity to ensure the trial balance reflects correct transactions and balances
• Support complex recurring and one-time transactions, such as accruals, intercompany, and adjusting transactions
• Participate in complex accounting activities, including documenting processes, performing reconciliations, and supporting ERP implementations
• Support the day-to-day capture of performance metrics at the functional, team, and individual level
• Revenue analysis including analyzing contracts for deferred revenue treatment
• Analysis of P&L and balance sheet for Eagle entities
• Interfaces with business on potential client contract structures
• Key participant in billing migration project
• General legal entity controllership activities

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance; or equivalent work experience
• Financial services background
• Accounting experience with internally developed software
• Prior billing experience
• Experience with Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint
• Accounting experience in financial services preferred (public accounting experience in US)
• Experience working the full accounting cycle from transaction through consolidation and close to financial reporting
• Experience with accounting applications such as PeopleSoft
• Experience with direct customer contact, answering business inquiries
• Strong written and oral communications skills in English

Preferred Experience:

• PowerBI, PowerQuery, AI tools (copilot), Sage50 (general ledger tool), Oracle General Ledger
