Position Summary:

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will be involved in the design and implementation of security software, industry best practices as well as researching, reviewing, and implementing security policies at the Enterprise level. This position plays a key role in solving challenging problems as an integral part of the Information Security team which is focused on protecting InEight's employees, customers, assets, and data.

To ensure success, the Senior Cyber Security Engineer must display an excellent understanding of technology infrastructures using Cisco-based Firewalls, VPN, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, Security Audits, Cloud SaaS technologies and Microsoft M365 security features and programs. This role requires a balance of hands-on engineering and security architecture/strategy. Top candidates will be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, leading incident response efforts, security problems and troubleshooting of the network.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems, and networks

• Represents Security Platform in development and implementation of the overall global cloud architecture

• The ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of individual decisions

• Experience in multiple areas of IT Security Architecture, alongside delivery of complex multi-layered secure environments including on-premises, Cloud, and 3rd party IT deployments

• Lead incident response efforts, including managing war room calls, coordinating stakeholders, and driving resolution

• Troubleshooting security and network problems

• Responding to all system and/or network security breaches

• Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls

• Participating in the change management process

• Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities, with a focus on Cisco network infrastructure, Azure cloud, and endpoint environments

• Daily administrative tasks, reporting and communication with the relevant departments in the organization

• Responsible for providing technical documentation for system, features, and components and developing actionable improvement plans

• Expected to improve, enhance, and support existing operations by evaluating current processes and recommending enhancements

• Support team initiatives and practices by actively participating in operations meetings and leading coordination efforts (e.g., Teams channels, status reviews, project tracking)

• Understand and report on monitoring logs and provide analysis with recommendations for proactive risk mitigation

• Represent InEight externally by participating in industry events, trade shows, user groups, and conferences to share insights and strengthen the organization's security presence

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or a related discipline

• 5-8+ years of work experience with incident detection, incident response and forensics

• Experience with Firewalls, routers, and switches (functionality and maintenance), especially Cisco technologies, Office 365 Security, Azure Public Cloud and Endpoint Security

• Knowledge and working experience of OATH 2.0, SAML 2.0 standards

• Experience in providing single sign-on to Cloud based applications

• Experience with SIEM technologies and compliance regulations

• Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong MS office skills (Excel, Access, Project, etc.)

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including leading high-severity incident response efforts

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to work independently and communicate risks or potential problems to manager while influencing security direction and decisions

• Experience presenting at industry events, conferences, or trade shows, with the ability to represent the organization as a security subject matter expert (preferred)
