Key Job Responsibilities Supervise direct care nursing staff, including performance evaluations, disciplinary issues, counseling, work assignment, recruitment, interview, and training; develop and provide in-service training. Plan, direct, and evaluate all nursing care services; establish, implement, and update nursing care programs; serve as nursing liaison with other units; direct record‑keeping and reporting procedures; coordinate nursing services with resident services; attend health care meetings and meet quality assurance functions. Coordinate scheduling, assessments, planning, evaluation, and delivery of all nursing services with appropriate healthcare providers; develop, schedule, conduct, and monitor in‑service training programs; attend utilization review and interdisciplinary team meetings, workshops, and seminars; write and review reports; authorize staffing schedules and leave requests; manage overtime. Provide direct professional nursing care to patients, administer emergency care and first aid, conduct nursing rounds, assess patients, and administer medications in the absence of nursing staff. Qualifications Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio, issued by the Board of Nursing. 24 months experience as a registered nurse. One course or three months experience in counseling. One course or three months experience in interviewing. Three courses or nine months experience in public relations. Three courses or nine months experience in employee training and development. Six courses or eighteen months experience in management. OR 6 months experience as Nurse 2 (65513).
