Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and clinical assessments of patients experiencing chronic pain, utilizing patient histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, including the identification of candidates for interventional pain management procedures.
• Prescribe medications effectively, ensuring they align with therapeutic objectives and educating patients and their families about treatment options.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement comprehensive patient management strategies, including consultations with supervising physicians when necessary.
• Perform routine physical examinations and diagnostic procedures, interpreting laboratory results and imaging studies to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate patient health status, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to improve outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to serve adults suffering from acute and chronic pain, including those with long-term complex conditions. Many of our patients come to us seeking relief from debilitating pain impacts, requiring compassionate care and an evidence-based approach to management. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or an equivalent educational background is required.
• Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• A minimum of three years of direct patient care experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in pain management or a related field.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
• A strong work ethic paired with a commitment to providing quality patient-centered care in a team-focused environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management or rehabilitation medicine, with a deep understanding of patient assessment and intervention strategies.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation practices.
• Background in working within a hospital setting, enhancing your ability to respond quickly to patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually , commensurate with experience and notable qualifications.
