Senior Manager/Associate Director, Legal Operations

Stoke Therapeutics seeks a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Legal Operations to oversee the day-to-day infrastructure and continuous improvement of the Legal & Compliance Department. The role involves managing departmental budgeting, implementing processes, supporting IT solutions, and driving operational efficiencies while reporting to the VP of Corporate Legal.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Legal & Compliance team and cross-functional stakeholders to align initiatives with business objectives
• Manage departmental budgeting, outside counsel costs, accruals, and financial forecasting
• Develop and maintain departmental processes, procedures, and workflows
• Support and enhance legal operations technology solutions and identify new tools for department use
• Drive process improvement initiatives and track KPIs to measure effectiveness and efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years legal operations, administration, project management, or corporate legal department experience
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or life sciences industry background
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven project management and organizational abilities
• Experience with contract management, e-billing, and AI platforms (Brightflag, Agiloft preferred)
• Outside counsel management and cross-functional collaboration experience
