Job Description
TITLE
Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

SCHEDULE
- Shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend rotation: Every third weekend
- Holiday coverage: Some holidays required

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
- Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- RRT credential required
- Minimum years of experience: 2 (first-timers accepted)
- Trauma experience: Trauma Level II required; Trauma Level I preferred
- BLS (BCLS) certification required
- Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License (pending license accepted)
- EPIC charting experience required

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform airway management procedures including intubation and extubation
- Manage mechanical ventilation and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms
- Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
- Deliver respiratory medications as required

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Pre-approved time off: Up to two days noted
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of assignment
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- References preferred; two supervisory references within the last two years are required
