Your main focus as a leasing consultant is to lease apartments while achieving the highest effective rent level. Executing leases triggers our competitive commission and bonus structure. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) You assist in your community's goal to effectively and efficiently lease the property, while also promoting excellence in resident care and service. You work alongside a team of maintenance technicians, groundskeepers, and a maintenance supervisor on your property, all under the direction of your property/community manager. There, your contribution to the team is specifically: Show apartments Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits Accurately quote prices Follow up on all prospects Thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties Thorough knowledge of the surrounding community Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects Provide superior customer service Collect money (deposits, rents, etc.) Prepare and review leases for accuracy Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program Inspect apartments for readiness Adherence to and proper implementation of all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures Distribute move-in packages Other duties as delegated Knowledge of and adherence to the following Fair Housing policies and procedures ADA policies and procedures Experience Prior leasing/sales experience is preferred Proficiency in social media preferred Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio) Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Special Skills Ability to successfully Interact with people Organizational skills Computer literate Strong Communication skills both orally and written Good decision-making ability Proficient sales skills Professional image Benefits (Full-Time Employees Only) Paid Time Off Medical/Dental/Vision Life Insurance 401(K) Referral Program Rent Discounts (where applicable) Disclaimer This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
