Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Position: Lead Design Engineer About the Company Our client is a global leader in minimally invasive medical devices, known for innovation, reliability, and improving patient outcomes. With headquarters in Plano, TX, their products are trusted in hospitals and clinics worldwide. What You’ll Do Own the design process from ideation through launch – developing novel device concepts, CAD models, and prototypes. Apply DFM, DFA, GD&T to ensure manufacturability and performance. Lead technical design reviews; use FEA and mold flow analyses to validate designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, suppliers, clinicians) throughout the product development lifecycle. Support prototype builds, verification/validation testing, and regulatory submissions. Drive continuous innovation through root-cause analysis and iterative design improvements. What You Bring Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (or related). 5+ years of hands-on design engineering experience in Class II or III medical devices – essential. Proven track record in full product lifecycle development – from concept to commercialisation. Strong skills in ideation, conceptualisation, and creative problem-solving. Expertise in SolidWorks (or similar CAD); FEA and mold flow analysis a plus. Ability to balance innovation with practical engineering for high-volume manufacturing.
