Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, execution, and implementation of capital equipment and facility projects across Carlisle operating sites. This role provides advanced engineering and project management expertise to support manufacturing operations, improve process efficiency, and ensure successful deployment of capital investments. The Senior Mechanical Engineer owns all phases of projects—from concept through commissioning and closeout—while serving as a technical leader and key partner to Operations, Maintenance, EH&S, and plant leadership. This position also plays a critical role in troubleshooting complex systems, driving continuous improvement, and mentoring less experienced engineers. Duties And Responsibilities Lead the design, specification, and procurement of manufacturing equipment and facility systems aligned with business and operational requirements Manage capital projects from initiation through completion, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and documentation Coordinate and oversee contractors, vendors, and internal resources during project execution and installation activities Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for existing process equipment and systems Serve as a technical resource and mentor to plant engineering, maintenance, and operations teams Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, EH&S, and leadership to identify and implement process improvements Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and installation plans Evaluate equipment proposals, vendor capabilities, and system performance to ensure optimal solutions Support commissioning, startup, and validation of new equipment and systems Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency Travel to manufacturing facilities to support project planning, installation, commissioning, and training #J-18808-Ljbffr
