AI / Python Engineer (Azure)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI / Python Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI solutions and data pipelines within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. In this role, you will integrate advanced machine learning models, LLMs, and Python-based microservices into production environments, ensuring robust infrastructure, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• AI & LLM Integration: Develop and deploy custom AI solutions using Azure OpenAI , LangChain/LlamaIndex, and open-source machine learning frameworks.
• Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain production-ready microservices and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask) .
• Azure Cloud Architecture: Provision, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure using Azure ML, Azure Functions, Azure App Services, and Azure Container Instances/AKS .
• Data Engineering & Vector Search: Build efficient data ingestion pipelines and implement vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Qdrant) for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications.
• MLOps & CI/CD: Implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) for automated model deployment, monitoring, and performance tracking.
• Security & Governance: Maintain best practices around data security, role-based access control (RBAC), and enterprise compliance within Azure.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Core Technical Skills:
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering and AI development.
  • Strong expertise in Python (async programming, object-oriented design, performance optimization).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services ( Azure OpenAI Service, Azure ML Studio, Azure AI Search, Azure Blob Storage ).
• AI/ML Tooling:
  • Experience with generative AI frameworks, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and RAG architectures.
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn .
• DevOps & Databases:
  • Strong working knowledge of Docker , container management, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB) and vector search engines.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, clear communication skills, and comfort working in an agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) or Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code ( Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM templates ).
• Prior experience with enterprise integration pattern security (e.g., Private Endpoints, Key Vaults).
