You will work in a modern, well-equipped interventional suite featuring advanced imaging technology to support a full spectrum of minimally invasive procedures. In this role, you will support a diverse range of procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions, biopsies, drain placements, central venous access, and other image-guided therapies. A typical day may involve preparing patients and procedure rooms, scrubbing and circulating during cases, operating imaging and ancillary equipment, and coordinating closely with interventional radiologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure safe, efficient workflows. You will assist with both scheduled and emergent cases, adapting to a dynamic caseload that offers excellent hands-on experience. Patient populations include both inpatient and outpatient cases, spanning adults and, where applicable, select specialized patient groups depending on departmental scope. Case volumes and patient ratios are managed to maintain safety and quality while still offering a robust clinical experience. The department supports multiple IR procedure rooms and recovery areas, with clear protocols and strong support staff to help streamline care. Shifts may include a combination of days, evenings, and call, depending on departmental needs. Participation in a shared call rotation allows you to gain valuable experience in emergent interventions, further strengthening your skills and clinical judgment.
