Project Scheduler

job summary:
In search of candidates for a Project Scheduler within the Philadelphia area. Candidates must have an associates degree with a minimum of 3 years of project scheduling or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of contracts and contract administration including its assessment and implementation at each phase of the project is required. Transportation, Rail Industry Infrastructure and/or Construction background is a benefit. This is an open ended duration contract position ranging from $30-$50/hr . responsibilities:

• Work with Project Managers and team to develop project schedules, maintain strict schedule baseline version controls utilizing schedule logs.

• Help develop and utilize templates or processes to improve scheduling workflows.

• Collect project performance data such as installed quantities, expended labor and other progress measurement data.

• Track potential changes, ensuring estimates of cost and schedule changes are given visibility with the client and project management.

• Integrate of cost and schedule data to facilitate schedule and budget performance reporting.

• Assist Project Manager with maintenance and baseline reviews of project schedules in accordance with approved project parameters.

• Assist Project or Program Managers in evaluation and assessment of identified project schedule risks to enable project teams to formulate mitigation plans.

• Maintain cost loaded schedules at the appropriate WBS level.

• Partners closely with business partners to assess new and ongoing projects to determine readiness for governance stage gates.

• Monitors actuals and works with the project managers to review forecasting against budgets.

• Supports the governance and project status review meetings.

• Adheres to Amtrak Enterprise Project Management methodology.
