Inpatient Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy TechnicianCardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock located in Round Rock, TX. We are currently recruiting for a full time Pharmacy Technician to work Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM.The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy helps the Pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy. This includes the preparation of and filling of prescriptions, taking pharmacy inventory and processing product returns. The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy ensures that all orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist and records all activity in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. This job frequently communicates with customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment of all orders.ResponsibilitiesAssists the Pharmacist as needed, permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.Communicates with all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Texas State Pharmacy Technician license required.IV certification or ability to obtain required.National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or ability to obtain certification highly preferred.In-patient hospital pharmacy experience highly preferred.Pyxis experience preferred.Ability to work well in a team.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service skills.Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks.Ability to manage several tasks at the same time; Ability to focus on tasks; Ability to evaluate operating conditions; Ability to exercise sound judgment.Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tablets.Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.May require vendor credentialing.Anticipated hourly range: $18.90 per hour - $24.30 per hour.Bonus eligible: NoBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 09/01/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
