Description

We are hiring a Field Test Engineer that will perform field validation of agricultural and crop harvesting equipment under actual and simulated operating conditions. Candidates that have worked doing field testing or operating outdoor equipment work well in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Tests: Run validation plans, machine evaluations, and functional/safety tests in-field or at test facilities. Collect and Analyze Data: Use instrumentation and data acquisition tools to measure noise, vibration, speed, torque, hydraulic pressure/flow, and electronic sensors.Troubleshoot & Report: Document machine performance, diagnose component/system issues, write concise test reports, and support root-cause investigations. Maintain Equipment: Inspect, repair, update, and prep pre-production or prototype machinery to keep test readiness current. Collaborate & Interact: Work alongside design, software, and manufacturing engineering teams, and interact professionally with dealers and farmers while protecting prototype confidentiality.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field Candidates that do not possess a degree will also be reviewed. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of vehicle systems (powertrain, hydraulics, electronics, or embedded software) and data acquisition/measurement methods. Preferred familiarity with CAN bus, Python, MATLAB, or diagnostic tools.Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, an interest in agricultural machinery, and the ability to work independently at remote test locations.

This is a Contract position based out of New Holland, PA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
