Position Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide direct patient care. Your role includes implementing treatment plans, documenting resident progress, and contributing to the overall success of our rehabilitation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility and functional independence
• Deliver skilled therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed PT
• Assist with implementing and adjusting treatment plans based on resident progress
• Observe and document resident performance and response to therapy
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicate resident updates and observations to the supervising PT
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Florida Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
• In good standing with all licensing boards and regulatory agencies
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
