As a General Machinist, you'll use both CNC and manual equipment to produce high-quality precision components, solve complex machining challenges, and contribute to a culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Benefits and Compensation:Competitive hourly pay $25-31/hrFull-time, stable employmentOpportunity to work with both CNC and manual machining equipmentVariety of challenging machining projectsSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOngoing skill development and hands-on experienceSafe and well-maintained manufacturing facilityCareer growth opportunitiesRequirements & Qualifications:Previous experience operating both CNC and manual machining equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work ordersExperience programming, editing, and operating CNC controlsStrong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and machine setupExperience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipersExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality partsAbility to work independently and as part of a manufacturing teamAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periodsExperience safely operating overhead cranes and material handling equipmentMust Haves:CNC machine setup and programming experienceManual machining experience with mills, lathes, grinders, or similar equipmentBlueprint reading proficiencyAbility to maintain tight tolerances and quality standardsStrong mechanical aptitudeCommitment to workplace safetyDay-to-Day Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision componentsProgram, modify, and verify CNC machine instructions as neededSelect appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each production runInspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerance requirementsTroubleshoot machining issues and make machine or program adjustmentsPerform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in proper working conditionMove materials and finished components using overhead cranesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety proceduresPreferred Background & Skills:Experience in a precision manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with multiple CNC control platformsExperience machining a variety of metals and materialsStrong understanding of quality inspection processesKnowledge of preventative machine maintenanceContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficienciesPositive attitude and strong work ethic with a commitment to producing quality workmanship
