Grandview Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. In this remote role, you will engage with clients to assess their mental health needs, devise personalized therapeutic interventions, and guide them through their journey towards improved well-being. You will work closely with individuals experiencing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, bringing the flexibility of working from home while remaining connected to a collaborative and supportive team. Our therapists utilize comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client information and treatment plans efficiently. Although the work is conducted remotely, our team maintains strong communication through regular virtual meetings and check-ins, fostering a cohesive work atmosphere and ensuring high-quality client care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status through interviews, standardized assessments, and reflective listening techniques, to formulate accurate diagnoses and therapeutic strategies.
• Establish and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and circumstances of each client, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally sensitive techniques that resonate with diverse populations.
• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups and assessments, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care and coordinate referrals to additional resources when required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve encompass a broad range of backgrounds and experiences, including individuals struggling with substance abuse, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral health issues. Our emphasis on culturally responsive therapy means you will be expected to adapt your therapeutic approach to suit diverse client needs, ensuring that every individual feels understood and valued within the therapeutic space.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of four years of related clinical experience with a proven track record in mental health counseling.
• Thorough understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and demonstrated cultural competence in practice.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to stay composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office applications for effective documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing therapy to clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies, as well as innovative therapeutic techniques suitable for virtual settings.
• Previous work in multidisciplinary environments, illustrating an ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Compensation and Benefits
