Import Compliance Analyst

Import Compliance Analyst – CVG facility, Northern Kentucky area. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed research in multiple internal IT systems, the internet, and hard copy files Process confidential documents and information Enter data into DHL Express proprietary systems Assist with metrics and research projects Assist with various other team projects as assigned Conduct, participate, and evaluate various audits of the business Pull reports from Government databases regarding in-bond shipments Ensure timely closure of in-bonds with both internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance and accuracy of data within internal systems regarding Customs entries Audit the accuracy and ensure compliance of HTSUS within DHL system Provide feedback on descriptions within DHL systems via the audit process Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Experience & Technical Knowledge Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customs entry processing, import compliance, or customs operations. Strong working knowledge of HTSUS classification, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements. Practical understanding of U.S. import processes and regulatory frameworks. Experience with customs audits and working knowledge of 19 CFR; Customs Compliance Specialist (CCS) certification is a plus. Analytical & Compliance Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with attention to detail. Ability to interpret regulations and apply them accurately in a compliance‑driven environment. Communication & Stakeholder Interaction Well‑developed oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with U.S. Government officials, external auditors, and internal stakeholders. Technology & Organization Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Highly organized with the ability to maintain accurate and compliant filing systems. Work Style & Professional Competencies Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment while meeting deadlines.
