Sr. Manager - Microbiology

Baxter seeks a Senior Manager of Microbiology to lead a team of supervisors and department leads overseeing raw material and finished product testing. The role requires expertise in GMP/GLP compliance, bioburden and endotoxin testing, regulatory interaction, and continuous improvement in a sterile manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and supervise team of supervisors and department leads in microbiology testing operations
- Oversee product testing procedures for bioburden, microbial identification, endotoxin, and particulate matter
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and relevant regulatory standards
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage KPIs to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and cross-functional teams on deviations, investigations, and corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or Microbiology preferred
- Minimum 10 years professional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering
- Minimum 7 years confirmed cGMP industry experience
- Minimum 5 years proven leadership and supervision in aseptic or sterile manufacturing
- Knowledge of bioburden, endotoxin, particulate matter, and microbial identification testing
- Familiarity with USP, FDA, and ISO regulatory standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
Compensation: $136,000-$187,000 base annually
